Wearlon™ Nylon

Our range of Wearlon™ Nylon products come in several types for a variety of functionality and applications. They all share certain properties:

High mechanical strength, hardness and stiffness
High mechanical damping capacity
Good fatigue and very high wear resistance
Good sliding and emergency running properties
Good machinability

PA 6, PA 66 - These are extruded and commonly used under 50mm dia for large repetition work.

PA 6 G - Produced by the monomer casting process for even better strength and abrasion/wear resistance while having a low specific weight for improved balance and reduction of vibration. Also has very good sliding properties and good damping capacity for the reduction of vibrations and noise.

Oilamid® (PA 6 G + Oil) - A modification of PA 6 G especially designed for sliding applications through the addition of oil, solid lubricants and stabilizers. Has excellent sliding properties, exceptional wear resistance, lower moisture absorption and better dimensional stability.

Calaumid® (PA 6/12 G, PA 12 G) - Blended polyamide material for specialized applications having higher impact and shock resistance and less tendency to absorb moisture. The ideal engineering material where increased shock and vibration load can be expected or where there are higher demands on fatigue resistance or elasticity.

Calaumid® can also be combined with metal cores for applications in the field of drive components.
